The sign system is designed to accommodate intersections at various angles, and includes street identity, vehicular directions, and pedestrians’ maps.
To improve Downtown vehicular access, CRA reconfigured the one-way traffic patterns.

The sign system was designed to highlight the cultural and historic characteristics of this industrial town.
An orientation diagram consistently informs visitors of their location within the canals’ trails.

The unobtrusive sign system continues the design philosophy – Accessibility beyond minimum requirements – already established by CRA at Battery Park City.
Small signs are attached to existing railings with a custom designed ring.
The sign system expands to tactile botanical exhibits highlighting the unique planting native to the Hudson Valley region.
BATTERY PARK CITY
NEW YORK, NY
Multi sensory tables – designed as part of a comprehensive Signage Master Plan – introduce the six million sq. ft. site and its renowned Public Art Program.
For the benefit of non-sighted visitors, the sculptures that can easily be touched are identified on the tactile maps. A raised skyline highlights key landmarks along the Hudson River.
Segments of Raynes Rail frame the glass slabs, and give additional information with Braille and audio messages.
